about
"I began writing this piece a few days before August 21, 2017, in anticipation for the solar eclipse, and completed it soon after viewing the phenomenon. It is my attempt to musically describe the brief yet surreal experience of totality, and the motifs are based on the words, 'eclipse,' 'sun,' and 'moon.' I hope you enjoy it."
